Statement of Faith
We believe in the inspiration of the Bible as the Word of God. We believe in its truthfulness and completeness as the only criterion and authority of both church and the individual for faith and practice. 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Tim. 3:16.
God
We believe that there is one God eternally existing, manifesting Himself to us in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Gen. 1:1; John 10:30; Col. 1:15, Isa 48:16, 1Tim 1:17, Heb. 1:3 and 1 Cor. 1:19-20.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on the cross for our sins; his bodily resurrection from the grave; and His ascension to the right hand of God. Matt. 1:18; John 1-3 and 1:14; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4, Romans 8:3 and 34, 1Peter 2:22, and Heb. 4:15.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is very God, possessed of all the distinctive Divine attributes. John 4:24, 1Cor. 2:11, Heb. 10:15-16, and Job 33:4.
Satan
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan: that he is a created being, that the judgment already passed on him will be executed at the Revelation of Jesus Christ; and that ultimately, he will be cast into the lake of fire. John 8:44, Rev. 20:10; 1Peter 5:8, Job 1:6 and Matt. 4:10.
Man
We believe that man was created by God in his own image, not by evolution but by a special act of creation. We believe the Scripture record of the fall of man through his own disobedience, bringing the whole race under sin and death, and that man is totally depraved and hopelessly lost apart from the grace and salvation of God. Gen. 1:26-28; 2:7; Rom. 3:23; 5:12; Gal. 3:22, Eph. 2:8-9, 3:6-19, and Acts 2:21.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ; that it is instantaneous and wholly apart from human merit; that every individual is a sinner by birth; and that all accountable human beings are sinners by practice and by choice and therefore must exercise personal faith in the redeeming work of Christ on Calvary and receive Him as Savior in order to be saved. Eph. 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Ps. 51:5; Rom. 3:23; 10:9,10.
We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in full assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Work, but at the same time, the Word clearly forbids the use of our liberty as an occasion to sin. Rom. 13:14, and Titus 2:11-14.
We believe that Salvation is eternal; that all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for the Lord Jesus Christ. John 6:37-40, 10:27-30, I Peter 1:5, and Phil. 1:6.
